Nextrom Light Accumulator LAC was developed to enhance production efficiency. This user-friendly accumulator enables continuous production of ribbon regardless of the batch length. LAC allows the take-up spool change without stopping the line. This reduces the scrap and minimizes the operating costs while at the same time
improving the uptime of the line.

Its construction is suitable for different ribbon designs with any fiber counts. It can even be used with other products possible to be produced like UV acrylate tight-buffered fibers or blown fibers. The design is especially suitable for
easy and fast set-up.

The threading path is straight through the accumulator and operator does not need to thread the fibers around any additional pulleys. This reduces significantly the set-up time comparing to conventional accumulators.

The new generation coater eliminates the alignment problems and therefore improves the quality of the ribbon plus reduces the set-up times. Typical setup time for 12F is 15 minutes. Other advantages are even material distribution, which is essential to get concentric product and high quality tooling gives the needed repeatability.
