Colouring Line - OFC 52

SERIES 600 UPGRADES

Add the Tension Balancer, Fiber Clamp, Long Quartz tube through the lamps or put in additional UV-lamp to increase the capacity of the line and make life easier for the operators. The new traversing SW can also be utilized in the OFC52 lines with AB or S7 PLCs. Speed in usual cases can be brought up to 1800 m/min and quality improvement of the winding significally reduces the number of loose loops which causes steps on the OTDR measurements.

SERIES 100 UPGRADES

Many of the 600 series features can also be upgraded to the older 100 series lines. Some of these modifications require PLC and UV lamp changes. But if you feel that you want to bring new light to these machines, Nextrom is ready to help you make it real.

What are the benefits? Please have a look at the payback calculation.

FIBER RING MARKING

Extend the possibilities! Fiber marking system is an optional device assembled in OFC 52 coloring system. Fiber marking is a method to separate more than 12 fibers traditionally based on colors. High quality black marks are produced to the fiber between equal intervals, typically 25 or 50 mm. The interval of the marks is adjustable and accurate also during the ramps. Single or double marks can be produced. The fiber marking assembly does not limit the operation of the OFC 52 machine, but the machine can also be used for ordinary coloring at full speed without any set-up work. Ring Marking speed is up to 800 m/min.

FIBER UPCOATING

And extend even further! Upcoating of optical fibers using UV curable resins is gaining popularity because of the recent development of new, but microbend sensitive, fibers. The UV coating material characteristics are customized to provide stress protection. Typically, 250 micron colored fiber is coated first with a UV resin to a diameter of 400 or 500 microns after which a thermoplastic layer (ex. PVC, PA, PE) is extruded to achieve a 900 micron diameter. Alternatively, the outer thermoplastic can be replaced by a secondary UV resin to provide a tough surface or make the 900 um diameter in one shot with UV-acrylate.
