LASER WELDING UNIT NLW 200
Nextrom Laser welding system includes power source, which is Nd: YAG type laser unit and fully automatic welding unit for the metal tape splicing. Laser welding offers a reliable and fast method for the high quality splicing of the steel and aluminum tape splicing for needs of the fiber cable industry. Because of fast splicing procedure, the line uptime can be maximized and that way the productivity of the line will be increased.
Nextrom laser welding unit NLW 200 has the following features for the automated welding; automatic threading of the metal tape, positioning and cutting of the tape, feeding of the new tape, cutting of the new tape, positioning of both ends of the tapes and finally the welding itself. All the operating parameters like the type of material, thickness and width can be set for the welding unit from the recipe system without any mechanical settings or adjustments of the machine.
With these automated features, the reliability of the production can be maximized during the splicing and the change of the production type. This can be finally seen as a reduction of the setup time and scrap production, resulting in a lower cost of quality.
